STATE:

  • Peter Pan has suspended service Monday and Tuesday.
  • Gov. Lincoln Chafee says non-essential state agencies, including state courts, will be closed Monday.
  • U.S. District Court in Providence is closed Monday.
  • Fox Point Hurricane Barrier was closed Monday morning.
  • The Newport Pell and Mount Hope bridges may be closed temporarily based on wind speeds.
  • The Rhode Island Chapter of the American Red Cross has shelters in the region on standby.
  • RIPTA will suspend operations in Newport and South County at 10 a.m.  All RIPTA service will end at noon.
  • MBTA will suspend operations at 2 p.m.
  • T.F. Green Airport is open; Check airlines for flight delays or cancellations.

BARRINGTON:
Shelter opens at Primrose Hill School at 7 p.m. Sunday.

BRISTOL:
Mandatory evacuation of coastline and low-lying areas by 6 a.m. Monday
Shelter opens at Franklin Court Community Room on 150 Franklin St. starting at 7 a.m. Monday.

CHARLESTOWN:
Mandatory evacuation of residents living in West Beach at Sunset Drive, East Beach at Overlook Avenue, and Charlestown Beach at Creek Bridge by 12 p.m. Sunday.

COVENTRY:
Voluntary evacuation of campground and mobile parks should be complete by 6 p.m. Sunday.
Coventry High School will be used as a shelter starting at 4 p.m. Sunday.
School closed Monday and Tueday.
No garbage pick-up on Monday or Tuesday.
A parking ban is in effect starting midnight on Sunday until further notice.
All town employees are expected to report to work Monday.
All town meetings scheduled for Monday are canceled.

CRANSTON:
Parking ban in effect noon Monday to noon Tuesday.
No trash pickup on Monday.
Cranston Senior Center, 1070 Cranston St. open as shelter for displaced Cranston residents.
Recommended evacuations of mobile homes and the Water Street area be prepared to leave.
Warwick Veterans High School will be used as a shelter.
City distributing sandbags to residents. Up to 10 bags are available per person. Residents can pick them up at the Department of Public Works building on Phenix Avenue from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. Must be Cranston resident.

CUMBERLAND:
Cumberland High School will be used as a shelter starting at 7 p.m. Sunday.

GLOCESTER:
Red Cross shelter at Northern Rhode Island Regional Red Cross emergency shelter at Cumberland High School, Mendon Road.
In the event of power outages, a comfort center will open at Ponaganset High School on Wednesday.

JAMESTOWN:
Melrose Elementary School will be used as a shelter starting at 7 p.m. Sunday.

LINCOLN:
Trash pick-up as scheduled Monday.

MIDDLETOWN:
Gaudet Middle School will be used as a shelter starting at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Parking ban begins at midnight Monday.
Mandatory evacuation by 10 a.m. Monday of homes and businesses in the lower Aquidneck area as well as parts of Purgatory Road.
Police, public works to begin blocking lower Aquidneck Avenue area with cement barricades. They will be located at Wave Avenue, the north side of Aquidneck Avenue, Purgatory Road and Memorial Boulevard.
Berkeley Avenue, Forest Avenue and Paradise Avenue south of Prospect Avenue will be blocked to through traffic with wooden barricades.

NARRAGANSETT:
Narragansett Police closing Ocean Road, portions of Memorial Square, all roads near the Dunes Club, Bass Rock Road and Newton Avenue.
Mandatory evacuation of all low lying and flood prone areas no later than 6 a.m. Monday.
Shelter located at South Kingstown High School, 215 Columbia St. in Wakefield.

NEWPORT:
Residents living in vulnerable areas from the storm surge are asked to seek shelter. Emergency shelter at Gaudet Middle School in Middletown.

PAWTUCKET:
City Hall and all city offices close at noon Monday except for public safety and essential support personnel.
The designated emergency number for the police is 401-726-3911.
Sandbags available for residents and businesses at DPW garage, 250 Armistice Blvd.
Zoning Board meeting Monday to be rescheduled.

PROVIDENCE:
Providence Place closed.
Monday trash pickup canceled.
City Hall is open Monday. Employees can use appropriate leave.
Sand piles available at 591 Charles St. and 91 Admiral St. for residents to make sandbags.
Providence EMA opened operations center at 8 a.m. National Grid representative on-site.

SMITHFIELD:
Trash pickup will be delayed by one day next week.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN:
Mandatory evacuations starting at 6 a.m. on Monday.

TIVERTON:
Mandatory evacuations starting at 8 p.m. Sunday for those residents who live in mobile homes or low-lying areas. Residents who wish to ignore the evacuation will not be physically removed from their homes.
Tiverton Middle School will be used as a shelter starting at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Fire department opens temporary emergency operation center at 85 Main Road.

WARWICK:
Voluntary evacuation for residents in Oakland Beach and Conimicut areas due to localized flooding on some streets.
Parking ban begins 4 p.m. Monday.
No trash/recycling pick up Tuesday. Pickup will be delayed on day for remainder of week.
Go to http://warwickri.gov to sign up for Code Red automated updates.
Conimicut Point Park, City Park and the seawall at Oakland Beach are closed.
Warwick Mall will be closed Monday.
Veteran’s Memorial High School will be used as a shelter starting at 7 p.m. Sunday.
State-operated pet shelter opening at Thayer Arena at 7 p.m. Sunday. Bring crate, medications, three days of food, medical records, lease, collar, comfort items, proof of rabies vaccination. Rhode Island Disaster Animal Response Team.

WESTERLY:
Mandatory evacuations in effect for Misquamicut, Watch Hill. Residents will have to leave by 8 p.m. Sunday.
Chariho High School and Chariho Middle School will be used as a shelter starting at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Town Hall and Westerly Transfer Station will be closed Tuesday.
